I have been participating in Crossfit Chicago for about 8 months now. The change in all aspects of my fitness level has been dramatic, and I see further improvements every week. This is coming from someone who has “worked out” (weight trained and cardio) pretty consistently for 12+ years. Regardless of your skill level, each time you come to Crossfit Chicago you are presented with a focused, intense workout that will challenge you beyond belief. I am stronger and faster than I have ever been, and leaner too. My running has improved and is no longer my workout nemesis. My running pace 8 months ago is a warm-up, or “slow” running day for me today as I have comfortably reduced my mile pace by almost 90 seconds – all while running more efficiently and without that struggle I used to have. The Crossfit Chicago environment is one in which everyone can improve. The trainers are extremely motivating, knowledgeable, and interested in the success and improvement of all participants – with a focus on form, integrity and teaching (all aspects that I cannot emphasize enough). And what can I say about my fellow Crossfit participants – they are truly awesome! They all add a unique element to my training that has aided to my success in these short 8 months.
