Fun day yesterday! All the guys kicked butt yesterday. We have a great community of people!

Hey all… thanks for sending all that positive energy to us in Michigan yesterday. Our teams had a great time and here are the (unofficial) results:

Chicago’s Finest Brunettes (Erin, Steph, Kacey): 8th
Team Pantymuffin (Rachel, Gina, Megan): 9th
Boom Boom Pow (Carrie, Elizabeth, Andrea): 11th

While the event was run well, tabulating the results was a total mess. Lots of mistakes (i.e. in three minutes Erin, Steph and Kacey did only 25 TTB’s… no way…the wrong number made it’s way onto the final results sheet) and we have no idea how they weighted each of the events. To be honest, we don’t really think the official (er, unofficial) results truly reflect the day. Our teams placed much higher in the two main wods of the day, but somehow when all was calculated the teams dropped down the rankings.

So all in all, a fun day but we have no confidence in these numbers. But hey, it was a beautiful sunny day in Michigan and we got a few great workouts in. It was a lot of fun to compete, and the best part was that we were able to compete as teams of three. Go CFC!

Hey everyone. I left a jump rope at the box after the throwdown yesterday. Yellow and Orange handles. If you could set it aside I’ll grab it when I’m in again.

Congrats to the gals who went up to MI this weekend, awesome work!

Posting my Throwdown results from Saturday. Little salty after this one but it was a great day with everyone. Huge thanks to all the volunteers–had Sommer, Krystal B. and Brooke (twice) as judges and they were great, even when I started yelling at myself on the final workout. Thanks for Alex and JVu for programming and Bryce and his new haircut for putting it together.

    Event #1: 167 (2nd)
    Event #2: 1:03.5 (20th)
    Event #3: #205 + #215 (DL + HC + Jerk) + 22 burpees (8th)
    Event #4: 8:30 (2nd)

Killed any podium chances with a pretty lackluster performance on the run (wah wah), so tried to have fun on the last two workouts. A lot of work to do in the next four months, looking forward to it.
