Member of the Month February 2013

***REGULAR SATURDAY CLASSES ARE CANCELED DUE TO THE OPEN***

Rest day/Make ups

This time last year… Zack wrote on Meal Planning Help.

Although it was his wife Andrea who found Crossfit Chicago first, our February Member of the Month Rich Grostern has become a vital part our community since joining in May 2011. Rich’s upbeat attitude and persistence has allowed him to continually improve at Crossfit, stay in shape for life, and get stronger and faster playing his favorite sport, hockey. See what made Rich give what he used to call “Cross-blah”a try in the first place and why he’s stuck with it this far. Next time you see Rich, make sure to congratulate him for being our February Member of the Month.

    Well deserved!

    Congratulations Rich, Well deserved mate.

  4. Jean says:

    Yay, Rich! Great choice. Congratulations!

  5. Brett Raz says:

Are we running out of members who haven’t won? This is feeling like 6 year old soccer when everyone on the last place team gets a trophy too.

  6. FAB says:

Love the new “style” of video for MoM

    Congrats Rich!

  7. FAB says:

Man there are a ton of MEAT’ers who have won MoM

This MEAT thing is getting bigger and bigger!!!!

  8. KateM says:

@FAB it’s our very own Lauren Anderson. She did an awesome job shooting and editing the video.

Congrats again Rich! We need to get those clips of what you were watching online:)

  9. No Moniker says:

Thanks everyone for your heartfelt congratulations.
Except of course BRaz who is a little bitter because he won this award back when CFC had 8 members and #135 c&j could send you to the games in LA (and he couldn’t do it)!

Kate- here are the links. The first one is funniest, look at the top left of the screen for me. The second one is funny in a pathetic kind of way for a guy who’s been crossfitting for nearly 2 years.

My last comment is awaiting moderation because there are links to the youtube videos, but I’ll restate the first parts.

Thanks everyone for your heartfelt congratulations!

It has been suggested elsewhere that I change my moniker, which I will likely do on my next post.

    Congrats Rich!

    Congrats Rich! Well deserved

  13. Kacey says:

    awesome Rich, congrats!!

  14. Adub says:

    Congrats Rich!

Sadly woke up this morning to do 13.2 at 6:00 am, but to my surprise there were about 7 people out of the crew who did it as well and made a great atmosphere.

13.2 done 205 reps (6 rds +10 box jumps). Box jump strategy was out the window after round 1, and stuck to a lot of step ups just to keep moving, although would have been nice to get 7 rds. Kudos to Rachel for letting me know when my form was getting “loose” especially in the deadlifts when I was trying to go fast. Tough one in the morning, but everyone did awesome.

Side note……Text from my sister last night…”hey I just met your friend JoeP from crossfit.”

WTF?!?? JoeP stop hitting on everyone I know!

  15. Carrie says:

Love the camera work and congrats again Rich! Great acceptance speech and a well deserving MoM you are!

  16. Pam says:

    Congrats Rich!

Did 13.2 at 6 am as well. It was a tough one so early in the morning because 75# jerks are pretty heavy (my 1RM is 95#). I had a goal of 4 full rounds, but managed to get 5 rounds even (150 reps). Had to fight mentally (and physically) for every jerk the last 3 rounds. Pretty sure my form was awful & inefficient. The rest was good. Did step-ups/downs to save energy for jerks.

Awesome job to my partner, Megan T, on blowing her goal out of the water! One day my jerks will look as effortless as yours!!

  17. Alex says:

Swords Squat Program week 2 – day 3

    Front Squat
    – warm up: 225# x 2, 245# x 2 – ddi 1 1/4 squats for these
    – work sets; 3 x 5 reps @ 265#, 2nd set felt the best of the 3

    +
jumped in with the 6am crew doing Thursday’s amrap and went solo:
    10 min amrap:
    10 hspu
    10 hang power clean @ 135#
    250m row

ROUNDS – 5 + 10 hspu. first 2 rounds were strict then kipping thereafter

    +
    Split Jerk tech work
    – worked on doubles up to 275#(~80% 1rm) and technique just felt a little off so went down to 225# and did 3 sets of 5 reps which helped
    +
    Accessory
    - GH raises, 4 x 12 reps @ black band resistance

    - 1 round of super band pull apart series @ black band w/15 reps per movement

    - grey band good mornings, 150 for time: ended up being 3 x 50 reps and completed in 4:16.

kind of started to do deadlifts with an imaginary bar once i got into it as prep for 13.2. need to start doing 3-5 min amraps on these and other accessory bits as burnouts. hammies/glutes/back are STRONG after this work. bring on the 100+ d-lifts on 13.2 baby

  18. No Talent A$$ Clown says:

    Congrats Rich!

Friday mornings are a good time for me to get a workout in, but I was really conflicted since I want to be fresh for 13.2 tomorrow. I went in and worked at about 80%.

13.2 skill work. Good tips from Bryce about utilizing step ups in later round if you can no longer string the box jumps.

    Partner Workout with Jordan

    8 rounds + 6 cleans.

Scaled the cleans to 95# and didn’t push the rows much. All 5 rounds of HSPU were unbroken and felt pretty good. Excited for tomorrow….

  19. Big Daddy Dane says:

Ya Rich! Your are exceptionally Canadian! Well deserved.

  20. Kitty says:

Congrats to Rich. Always love hearing your Cross-blah story.

@Mgmt have you considered a MoM from the kids program? A little gay/gal would probably be thrilled plus “kids say the darnest things” and it would help market our Crossfit kids program. We might even learn something from them.

  21. AmyAB says:

Awesome video. Congrats, Rich!! Well-deserved. Love the Crossblah story.

  22. MJ says:

    Congratulations Rich

  23. Adam says:

Tony: If you improve on your Double Unders, you too can become a MoM…there’s hope for you yet pal.

Congrats Rich! I was surprised to see that sweet and endearing side of you. I wasn’t aware it existed outside of the bedroom. Maybe it’s the camera, I hear it adds 20lbs…of personality.

  24. 6AM Glen says:

    13.2. 180, 6 rds even.

As expected the box jumps sucked. Thought I could just break them up, but found it better to do step ups in later rounds. However, I thing I got too comfortable with them and should have threw in regular box jumps to save some time. Had to break up the jerks in 3-2, in final rds.

Considering my grace time was 5:30 @ 105#, I guess I should be happy. Although I would’ve like to break into rd 7. Still close to tutu territory, will attempt a redo if if that becomes the case.

Congrats to Rich G, you give hope to people with little athletic ability and lack of good looks can make MOM…just talking MEAT smack. Great Job!!! I think you should upgrade your moniker to NoMo, is in NoMo hair, NoMo reps, and so on. Think about it.

  25. OT says:

Congrats Rich, enjoyed meeting you and Andrea!

  26. Marc S says:

Congrats Rich! You are an inspiration to the MEAT class of Crossfit citizens.

    @CFC Community

My wife is on the junior board of the Michael Rolfe Pancreatic Cancer Foundation (http://www.rolfefoundation.org/Home.aspx) and they are running a charitable March Madness bracket. Pancreatic Cancer is one of the deadliest of cancers, so if you are interested in helping the fight against this awful affliction, please consider creating a bracket using the following link:

    http://www.rolfefoundation.org/Events/2013MarchMania.aspx

This year’s prizes include an autographed Derrick Rose jersey with Bulls tickets, Apple iPad, $250 Visa Gift Card, White Sox/Cubs tickets and a variety of Chicago restaurant gift certificates.

Thank you for your time and consideration, now back to the regularly scheduled witty CFC blog banter.

  27. Anja says:

Got 13.2 in this morning at 7am.

@Justin W.-thanks for being an awesome counter and pushing me to keep moving the whole time!

I was worried about 75# as I couldn’t get a snatch in at that weight for 13.1 but I had it in me this morning! Felt pretty good and was able to get a bigger score than I anticipated-182 :)

    Congrats Rich!!!!!

  28. Joy says:

    Congrats Rich !!!!

  29. JoeP says:

Congrats Lauren! That is a really well done video, the cinematography is fantastic.

(that is a non-sarcastic compliment, by the way, I know people cannot always tell when I am being genuine).

    Rich G… okay job.

    So far ranking the comments:

    1) Adam C
    2) Brett Raz
    3) FAB

Also, I hope no one takes offense with the massive growth of MEAT, sometimes it just happens.

  30. JimF says:

Really liked the new format of the video (not that the old format was bad). And great interview, Rich.

Classic JoeP being “inappropriate” at the end of the video.

  31. JimF says:

    ***** New Parents *****

Does anyone want a baby swing for free? It’s in good shape (we just used it and it was awesome) and clean. Lincoln’s too big for it now we don’t really have the storage space for it.

    It’s basically this one: http://www.fisher-price.com/en_Us/products/45667 …except it’s battery-only (no power cord).

If interested, email me: jimfriend15 [at] gmail [dot] com

I can bring it to the box or you can come pick it up…doesn’t matter to me.

  32. Ms. Wani says:

    @ Rich G
Congrats friend! Well deserved! Your progress has been amazing to watch! So glad you’re not named Titanium any more!!!!

  33. FAB says:

    @ Ms Wani

    it is Tight-Taint-ium (not Titanium)

  34. Carlo says:

Congrats Rich! I think someone should link to your MEAT tutu jump rope picture from last year. That is the best MEAT photo in my opinion.

  35. Russell C. says:

Anyone doing 13.2 at 5 or 6pm tonight? Look for a counting partner.

  36. Val says:

@JimF – does the swing come with a baby in it? I would take it then.

@Rich – well done sir. All in the grand plan of Canadians taking over the world. All those free eye surgeries you gave to the Member of the Month selection committee really paid off.

  37. JimF says:

@Russell, I should be there around that time…if you see me and still need someone let me know. If you don’t know what I look like…ummm, find me on Facebook? hah

  38. Megan T says:

    Congrats Rich!

13.2 this morning. Had low expectations because of my wrist injury and shin injury (metal boxes suck). Ended up much better then expected, with 215 reps! I appreciate all the box jump tips yesterday. Started with stepups but after round 2 I did 5 box jumps and 10 stepups. Thanks to Pam for counting and all those cheering me on!

  39. JimF says:

@Val – based on your recent blog comments I think you should just take it…you know…just in case.

  40. JoeP says:

Unrelated to 13.2, the growth of MEAT, Val’s not-even-remotely-disguised-desire-of-wanting-Snugs-to-put-a-baby-in-it or anything else of use.

I am organizing a NCAA bracket pool for interested parties.

10 per bracket, you can have up to 5 brackets… payouts are dependent on how many people sign up (I take zero cut, just to clarify).

  41. Emi says:

    Yay Rich! Congrats!

  42. Congrats Rich! Well deserved

I too liked the new format, unfortunately it was all of Rich

  43. Scotty says:

Congrats Rich! Always great to see you in the box at 6 PMs. Only because I know I probably won’t be last in WODs.

Please do us all a favor a post the youtube link to your box jump failure. Seeing it firsthand wasn’t enough laughter for me and now that I’ve let the cat out of the bag, I’m sure many more would love to see…

  45. Chris says:

I agree with Brett. What a joke. Put his plaque above the men’s toilet, only appropriate place in the gym for it. A bald, out of shape, “doctor” wins this award? I think it should go to Andrea for a second time out of sheer pity.

    PS – MISS YOU RICH

PPS – I AM MOVING BACK PREPARE ACCORDINGLY

  46. Dylan Levin says:

Perseverance pays off, I remember when you started.
    Congratulations Rich.

  47. Terry Levin says:

Its Terry not Dylan, but Dylan I’m sure congratulates you too.

  48. "Doctor" says:

    Wait… Rich is a Doctor?

  49. Adam says:

Not only is Rich a doctor, he’s also not a client.

  50. Tony says:

So this guy stuffs the ballot box prior to the CFC Awards Ceremony in a feeble attempt to get himself named Athlete of the Year, and this is his reward? Unbelievable.

  51. Karen says:

Loved your interview, Rich! Congrats! You are so fun to have in class, and I really enjoyed getting to know you better during the strength program!

  52. JoeP says:

NCAA Bracket Update (What? More bracket talk? Yes… more bracket talk)

Also, apparently that link doesn’t work… I need to invite you if you want in.

Shoot me a note and I will send you an invite… first time using CBS Sports, sorry.

  53. Brian says:

    @ Jean
I think you beat me at 13.1 and owe you a $1. Do you want to let it ride on 13.2? I’m in if you are.

  54. JohnK says:

    Congrats Rich!!

  55. EmilyG says:

Congrats Rich! Very funny reveal at the end.
Partnered with Christina and Anna for Thursday’s wod
    20 min AMRAP
    10 HSPU (45# and mat)
    10 HPC (65#)
    250m row
9 rounds and 9 HPC. Everything felt good except the row. That continues to be insufferable

  56. The Shah says:

    Noon’ka-boom with Coach Bryce….

Oh….Canada! Congrats, now get ready to wear the TUTU!

  57. Tina T. says:

    Pre-Metcon:
    Technique work for tomorrow’s 13.2
jerk and deadlift practice with 33# bar
box jump practice – timing the same amount of step-ups vs box jumps was brilliant (thanks Coach Bryce); that combined with Megan T’s suggestions have given me my game plan!!

Metcon 20 min AMRAP- partnered with Melvin:
    2 wall walks
    10 hpc @65#
    250m round
    9 rounds +9 hpc’s

@Terry L – the wrist wraps really helped with the cleans in this workout; I look forward to using them tomorrow during 13.2!!

Congrats to all that did 13.2 at 6 a.m. You guys killed it!!

  58. No Moniker says:

Lots of activity today! First I’d like to thank everyone who congratulated me on being MoM. It truly is an honor and puts me among some pretty good company, along with a few questionable types.

I’d like to also address a few points brought out by the video and subsequent comments.

@Lauren- I agree that you did an excellent job. I actually look reasonably intelligent in the video and you hid my bald spot well (could you guys even tell I have alopecia?)

@Adam- you know exactly how tender I can be, stop pretending. Also, that was a great obscure reference there with the fact that I’m not a client. Nicely done.

@Tony- suck it. Learn to do double unders and quit whining. Also, I did not stuff the ballot box, a much hairier more handsome Italian CFC member took care of that.

Finally, it was also pointed out that I’m a doctor, which is indeed true. It’s a little unorthodox to talk medicine on the blog, but I figure we’re all friends here, right? I wanted to send a message to Chris- your tests came back and indeed you have both Herpes and neurosyphilis. Call me, I’ll start you on the appropriate medications ASAP.

Oh, and thanks to everyone who made it impossible to send the link to this blog to my mother, who would be so proud of her youngest son’s crowning achievement of MoM for the shortest month of the year.

  59. No Moniker says:

Trying again to post the youtube links. Just copy & paste, if I try to post with the actual link it gets sent for review, so this is easier. The first one is truly funny. the second is sad because I’ve been coming to CFC for so long and I still did that.

  60. Jean says:

@Brian: I’m in for letting the buck ride. I’ll be doing 13.2 Sunday morning if I can get a counter. Will catch up with you Monday morning to compare. After spending most of this week driving from central WI to GA and back I’ll be happy if I can get the bar overhead.

  61. Jean says:

    Just watched the video. Fantastic.

  62. Tony says:

@no moniker: i’ll gladly take my DUs over yours. sure i won’t be able to string as many together, but at least i don’t look like kangaroo trying to hump a mountain goat while doing them.

  63. Tina T. says:

oops forgot to mention earlier… congrats Rich! Great video!!

  64. Justin W says:

13.2 at 7 a.m. This was my first 7 a.m. class, and I had a blast. Coach Erin’s warm up was no joke.

After watching Anja kill 182 reps on 13.2, I got through 5 rounds plus two jerks – 152. I had hoped for more, but when it was all done, I felt like I had given my best effort.

@Anja – thanks for counting for me and trying to get me to quit pressing up the weight.

  65. Elizabeth P says:

    http://www.tabatatimes.com/coaching-roundtable-crossfit-games-open-13-2/
A good round up of various approaches to 13.2.

I tried it out last night with the different box jump methods (step up-step down, jump up-step down, jump rebound). The step variations were a little more tiring on my legs than expected, but definitely helped with the breathing. If you aren’t great at rebounding and or might miss reps by not opening up at the top, these are good methods. If you step up, definitely push off your knee (they didn’t say it wasn’t legit) and alternate legs every round or every few reps to avoid fatiguing one leg.

  66. Deadpool says:

    @ Rich.
First off, congrats. Secondly, how did you get a hold of the CFC drone footage of your better moments?

  67. JimF says:

    Recovery Program Day 11.4

    A1. Press 5×5 @ 95#
    A2. Bent Over Row 5×5 @ 95#

20min AMRAP w/ Mo, switch off rounds:
    10 HSPU
    10 Hang Power Clean, 95#
    250m Row

    9 Rounds + 179m

Mo was a great partner, and I totally blew our shot at 10 rounds by dying on the last round of HPC. Damn it. Everything unbroken, strict HSPU in first round, kipping the rest of the way.

  68. JimF says:

Whoops, that was supposed to be 115# on the Hang Power Cleans above…not 95#.

  69. 6AM Glen says:

Watched the Rich fall a few times. Great stuff. Thanks man you brightened my day!

Can we get a clip of the Meester snatch fall from last Friday? That was awesome too (Meester was not injured as a result of this incident).

  70. dorothy says:

Congratulations Rich – great interview. We’re proud of you, but I wish you’d listened to me about the hat!!

  71. No Moniker says:

Ha! Now I’m in trouble, my mother is posting on the blog. So much for my new moniker.

The drone camera footage was provided via Bryce, but I think it was Ben who did the work of pulling it off the surveillance videos. If you haven’t yet watched that first one I do highly recommend it. See post #58, first link.

  72. Honey Badger (Ali G) says:

    13.2 – 212 reps (7 rounds + 2 Push Jerks)

    1) This is a lung burner
    2) Push jerk that sh*t
    3) There is no rest for the weary on this. Just keep moving at a decent pace (duh) and if you have to rest between sets try not to take more than 5 seconds.

I figured I’d be anywhere between 6 and 8 rounds. If I was really good at box jumps I think I could’ve had 8.

Anjali coached our group and she changed my box jump rebound and it helped tremendously. I’m not efficient at the new way yet, but I was able to string them WAY better than I’ve ever been able to in the past. Thanks so much Anj!!!

  73. Honey Badger (Ali G) says:

Congrats, Rich!!! Well deserved. I really enjoyed getting to know you more when we were doing strength together. You are a sweetheart! (I feel like I’m signing your high school yearbook.) I hope you kick butt in the Open!! Have a great summer!!! :o)

  74. Ms. Wani says:

    @ Ali G!
You’re welcome buddy! Great job today! So proud of you and glad to be of help!!!!

  75. Xiomara says:

    13.2 – 211 reps
Fun workout with Russell and my girls AndreaB and Mia, everybody did great. Thanks to Gina for all her great tips it definitely kept me moving.

  76. Xiomara says:

    Congrats Rich!!!

  77. Deadpool says:

    @ Rich
    Stick with No Moniker. Absolutely.

  78. No Moniker says:

    Thanks Jason.

Ali- way to crush 13.2 today! (with Xiomara right behind, strong) Did you do step ups, jumps, or a combo? (for both of you) My box jumps suck at 24″, so I’m thinking step ups, hoping they will actually be faster in the long haul on this. Also, it was really great being in your class this year, I hope we’re in the same homeroom again next semester.

  79. Brett Raz says:

Brutal day in the office and the gym. As the Iron Sheik would say, 13.2 makes me humble. After doing just under a 5 min test run yesterday, I decided I would try and do a round a min today and hang on as long as I could. Well I could only keep that up for 5 min. Somewhere in the 6th round I resorted to step ups for the rest of the duration. No resting but I could only step up so fast on the 24″ box. Breathing and legs just went. I don’t think my strategy was flawed, my gas tank just isn’t big enough right now to score well. My heart rate just shoots up too fast. I was hoping to get around 9.5 rounds, but clearly it wasn’t to be.
261 reps—8+6 box jumps. Sad as it is to admit, this was a full out effort. So as Apollo Creed says at the beginning of Rocky II, “Aint gonna be no rematch.” Thanks for judging/counting Adam B.

Rested and wallowed in pity for a while, then did a super easy 20 min airdyne. 309 cals. 10 min plank. Looking forward for the weather to warm a bit so I can start getting some running back into my repertoire.

  80. Mia says:

Did 13.2 today with Xi, AndreaB, and Russell. Finished 6 rounds + 4 deadlifts (189 reps). Not too shabby for still being sick and doing weird leg movements during step ups.

  81. Honey Badger (Ali G) says:

Rich – I started out stringing (the best I could) and then a mix, then step-ups in the last couple rounds.

See Anjali or Randy for tips on rebounding. However, it sounds like you might be better off doing step ups. Practice in your warm up and see what feels best.

P.S. I hope Mr. Wood is our homeroom teacher!

  82. Russell C. says:

189 reps during 13.2 today. Legs were getting tired in the final minutes. Xi, Mia and Andrea B did a phenomenal job today and left everything out on the table. Good luck to everyone tomorrow.

  83. AndreaB says:

Fun ish 13.2 with the ladies and Russell. Wow xiomara. .. you rocked it! And Mia great job girl! Thanks for the helpful tips Gina!
165 reps…I was happy with that considering my 1 rep max clean and jerk are around 95#… terrified going in just to even clean the bar. …

  84. Tim R. says:

Well done Rich. Well deserved. The video alone should have made u MOM years ago.

    Power snatch 1rm – 225# – 237#(fx3

Went for the 2# pr a few times and just ended up squat snatching them. Ah well got some moderately heavy reps of the dquat snatch in which was fun

Also worked on my box jump rhythm set for 13.2. Feel about ret to go at it and embrace the suck with the 915 heat tmro am

  87. Val says:

@Kate: Sorry to mess up your heats. I did the workout tonight with Carolyn and Snuggles and won’t be doing it again tomorrow.

    13.2 – 11 rounds + 4 Deadlifts = 339 reps

    Tips that worked for me:
    1. I never let go of the bar once I picked it up for the shoulder-to-overheads. Once I finished the push presses (I did all push presses), I snaked the bar all the way to the ground and started my deadlifts right away.
    2. On the deadlifts, I just stood up. No additional over-movement necessary.
    3. Mentally relax (zone out) and physically keep moving.
    4. Breathe as you would on a long run. Long deep breaths. It not only is a better breathing method for endurance type workouts but it keeps you calm.

Thanks to Kurt for pushing and judging. Thanks to Nikki and Carrie for cheering me on. Way to go Carolyn and Snuggles!

  90. Eric A says:

First off, congrats Rich, well deserved buddy. And Val, holy sh*t!! Nice work on 13.2! That’s a huge number.

Had a crap ass day at work and thought I would take it out on 13.2. I was actually dreading the high rep deadlifts since I’m only a few weeks removed from a bad back injury. 185 reps (6 rounds and 5 PP). Wanted around 200 reps, but overall I’m pleased. My main goal was to not re-injure myself and that mission was accomplished.

Presses were all push jerks. Goal was to never put the bar down. All sets unbroken until the last round (3-2). Deadlifts were very slow and deliberate. I paused at the top of every rep to reset my abs/back and time added up here. Box jumps were all step ups. Not sure why I chose that route. Again I just wanted to keep moving and I have a tendency to stare at the box when I fatigue. Is it enough to keep me out of the tutu? That remains to be seen! Good luck to everyone tomorrow!!!

  91. Xiomara says:

@ Rich- I decided to do all step up/down, my box jumps suck and my goal was to keep moving with minimum rest. I figured if I jumped I would’ve been forced to take too many breaks and wasted time recovering.

  92. Xiomara says:

@ Val – Well done lady!!!!

  93. MEATman says:

Made up Thursdays at the 4pm
EMOM jerks 3×2 4×1 at 165 and then bumped it up to 185.
    Press /row at 105

Shoulders were a little more tired than I expected after doing 13.2 last night.
Did the partner WOD with Ben.
    9+6 HPC

SinceI went first I got 5 full rds in – and was suprised how well I was moving. I did all HSPU strict and unbroken….and very happy about that.

Cannot make it in for game day saturday, so good luck everyone competing. I am thinking about getting in on Sunday for another crack at 13.2

  94. Nikki Y says:

    Congratulations Rich!
Also, Val & Carolyn – awesome job tonight!

Went in for 13.2 tonight with Erica S. The shoulders to overhead were pretty tough at 75#. By the end, I was just push pressing to get the bar over my head. Overall, I did better than I was shooting for…finished at 195 reps (6 rds + 10 DLs) so not bad.

And definitely paced myself with step ups the entire time. Really glad I didn’t attempt to go for the box jumps or I would’ve gassed out pretty quick.

  95. Meg Raz says:

Holy crap Val! That deserved an A.maxe. Balls… Indeed! Great job!

  96. AndreaB says:

    Val amazing!!!! Great job lady!

  97. Adub says:

Wow Val….currently you are sitting at 41st in the world…even if that doesn’t hold, pretty amazing.
