    Go Team CFC!

Can someone post the updates on here after the events so I can see how you are all doing?

As for the WOD – Pistols ergh I think with band support for this callsign.

  3. Dougie (Overseas) says:

Ego Checked-Competitors was to heavy for me so did 3 rounds of the team WOD, EMOM on my own but added some extra weight-

    Hang Power Clean (135) 12-9-6
    Push Press (135) 6-5-4
    Burpees 16-12-9
    Pull-ups 18-14-10

    Rest yes, yes and done

    Was a fun one.

Great Lakes wod 1 (last night)

    3 rounds:
    3 rope climbs
    5 power clean – 155#
    7 thrusters – 155#

    TIME – 4:53

Stayed steady and got all the bar work unbroken. My best climbs were when I was able to use 2 pulls to get to the top. Fun start to the weekend and I am not sure of the other individual CFC ladies results as they were not up as of last night so I’m sure they’ll post when they can. Teams are up first this am in a 2 part wod of max bench press & then overhead squat + other jazz medley so should be exciting to watch in action. Will report later with updates

  5. Rudy says:

Thanks for the update Alex! The only ones up I can see are the men’s results. Great start though! Keep it up.

    Team FUPA – 664

Brutal workout. Teamed up with Dave and we kept a good pace throughout and pushed each other. Pull ups are still one of my biggest weakness’s.

  10. Christina R says:

Worked with sommer for the 9am team “panting bitches”

    563 reps

Forearms were angry during round 4-5.

Thanks Johnny for words of encouragement like “don’t pity yourself!” “give FB something to talk about” “whats up in the ceiling? Theres nothing up there” geezus =\

  11. Honey Badger (Ali G) says:

Hit this up with my girl SCookie to form “Team Butt Rack”. Affectionately named by some of the boys in class.

    598 reps

Holy moly was this hard. Eagerly awaiting being able to see the bruises I feel developing on my quads.

I love seeing people’s team names, so POST!!!

And don’t forget to fill out an awards nomination form!!!

Does anyone know what the RSS feed is for the blog?

Good luck to all the competitors in Indiana this weekend!
As much as I would have loved to make it in today, the body isn’t ready for intensity yet. But I was able to get in a low intensity workout at home to shake off some of the bedbugs from the last four days.

    A1) 10 min planks
    B1) 10×30 push-ups (long rest breaks between)
    C1) 10 min planks

This was actually pretty tiring though, so it could be a long road back

@Chris L- if you’re looking for the WOD feed from CFC it’s crossfitchicago.com/feed

Team No Name with Mike T this am. Total score of 683. We modified a little and did CTB pullups just for fun. Probably cut my pullup score in half, but it was fun! Mike definitely scored much more than half of our total. Favorite movement was the HPC (never less than 20), least favorite was burpees (never more than 15).

    Update from Indy….
    End of day 1:
Teams in 7th and 13th (they tied for 4th on the killer workout 3, both one buddy/barbell carry short of finishing)
I’m 22nd, Gina 23rd, and Erin doing awesome in 7th!

Alex is in 6 going into the last workouts.

If any one wants to try a fun workout, check out the amrap/chipper combo we did this afternoon!

  16. Tony says:

Solid, solid workout this morning. The wreckage after the 9am class scared me into really trying to pace myself, and I think I actually did a reasonably good job for once. Worked with one of our many CFC Jon/Johns — sorry I didn’t catch your last initial! I think we finished with 669.

    HPC: 25-26-25-25-25
    PP: 25-20-15-15-15
    PU: 20-20-17-17-17
    B: 20 in each round
    Total: 407

Tried to chip away in sets of 15 or 10 at the beginning, some closer to 5 toward the end. Special thanks to Cam for doing the last HPC right before the minute ran out to get one more in and move right into PP. Saw him do it in round one and figured I’d steal it the rest of the way. Thanks to Kacey and Randy for managing all of us at 10a!

  17. Angie says:

    Team Angitty

    634 total reps

55#. i think i got somewhere between 340-360. my pull-ups are very very slow. came blazing out of the gate with 32 hpcs, around 20 every other round.kept push-presses close to 20-25. pull-ups around 10 and burpees around 18.

Awesome day at the Vaughn seminar today! This guy is seriously amazing and I learned sooooo much! So thankful for the opportunity, and would love to see more of our members take advantage of these opportunities. As part of my own personal growth, I will be trying to find a high quality seminar to go to at least every other month, if not every month if I can afford it. My eyes have been opened! Take advantage folks, it is well worth your time!

  19. Chris L says:

    @no moniker – Thanks

  20. Kitty says:

Other half of Team Angitty total 634. Angie took names and kicked butt with 360. I had 274. 55# and banded pullups for me. Great job Angie with the RX pullups! Rounds 4 and 5 were pretty tough on the barbell movements. However, even in round 1, I could have used wrist wraps for those hang power cleans.
